Originally from Jackson, Michigan, JK22 has spent years traveling between major cities and rural communities, building relationships and absorbing perspective. That constant motion shapes a sound that refuses easy definition. His music blends elements of jazz, country, rock, and hip-hop into something alternative and personal, guided more by feeling than by category.

In 2021, he began collaborating with Detroit artist Luchy Val.
By 2023, Brooklyn-born artist LeNoira joined them in the studio, forming the group MadFocused. The name reflects both their prolific output and their disciplined creative energy. Together they have released one project and are completing another, combining experimental expression with a clear commitment to growth and purpose.
Beyond recording, JK22 is also deeply involved in the visual side of music, directing and producing videos for his own work and for artists within his network. This hands-on approach reinforces a central idea in his career: creative control is part of authentic storytelling.
